Fiber art meets fashion in this dramatic felted necklace, designed by a Peruvian jewelry artist and handcrafted by craftswomen working together in the rural outskirts of Lima. Conical felted wool “petals” are sewn onto a thick, thread-wrapped cotton strand that’s almost 5’ long. Wrap it, loop it, and arrange the strand to complement the neckline of a favorite jacket. A simple snap closure makes it easy to experiment with unique styling ideas. The wool comes from from recycled knit hats and the cotton is from T-shirts, helping to keep a little more textile waste out of landfills.
